Juan Pierre to hit leadoff for the RoxPierre is a pretty empty hitter. He'll hit .300, but he still won't be very valuable. First, hitting .300 as a Rockie isn't a big deal. Second, he never walks. His OBP was .320 to a batting average of .310. And lastly, he has no power. He might be all right in the nine-hole, but he'll cost the Rockies runs galore at leadoff.
